瑪格列特的 Collective Invention 令我一度想像，從前的魚並非活在海裡，而是行走在地上。只是魚一直哭，哭出一片海來，便乾脆活在海中。然而渴望自由的腳受不了擁有心的魚身一直哭，便和魔鬼許願，和魚身分離，在地上展開新生活。可自由的代價卻是必須長出一顆心。有心，則難免有悲傷。

悲傷的包袱堆成人類的沈重。關於沈重，曾做過一件作品，讓觀者把沈重寫在紙條上，然後放進載有水的瓶子裡，沈重慢慢在水中化成一片藍。於是家裡存了一箱屬於悲傷的藍。這些藍色，便被染成是次作品中魚的淚海。

Inspired by Rene Magritte’s Collective Invention, I imagined that fishes used to live on land with legs instead of in the sea. Just that they loved to cry so much that their tears became the sea, then they just simply lived in their own tears. Yet the legs who didn’t own the heart couldn’t understand why the upper body loves to cry so much, they just longed for freedom. As a result, they made a wish to the Devil that they want to leave the sea. The Devil made their wish come true, but the cost is that they have to bear a heart when they started to live on the land. Then they could feel sadness when they finally possess a heart.

Speak of sadness, I did have a work asking the audience to write down their sadness on a paper and put it into a water bottle, then those words will be dissolved in the water, become nothing but just something blue. And now I have turned the bluish liquid into the sea formed by the tears of fishes.
